Can and how can we get rid of broken capillaries?

Capillaries are not pleasant to see on any part of the body, and the face, unfortunately, is the least resistant to them. Very little can be done to prevent capillaries, but a lot can be done by choosing the right treatment.

The skin must be beautiful from the inside to be beautiful from the outside. Just like people. Capillaries on the face are a harmless phenomenon, but aesthetically very unpleasant. They most often appear on the face and legs, the two “extreme” parts of the body. And it is no coincidence that they are there. These are the parts exposed to the greatest physical stress. By this we mean changes in pressure in the blood vessels that occur constantly, without preparation or regular training.

Why does capillary damage occur?
Capillaries are the most delicate part of the blood vessel system at a few microns in size. It doesn’t take much for them to be damaged and, consequently, crack.

There are several factors that affect their condition:

  • age – they appear already in the 20s, and mostly in the 40s,
  • genetics,
  • pregnancy,
  • rosacea – a frequent condition of increased redness of the skin,
  • exposure to UV radiation,
  • weather changes,
  • environment or chemical irritants,
  • alcohol consumption,
  • injuries,
  • vomiting or sneezing,
  • obesity can also increase capillary propensity

They are not pleasant to see on any part of the body, and the face, unfortunately, is the least resistant to them. It is necessary to know that they are not in the skin, but in the layer below its otherwise “three-layered” organ. They just seep through the thin layer of skin, giving the impression that they are inside it.

There is very little you can do to prevent facial capillaries, but a lot can be done by choosing the right treatment in the right “layer”.

How to get rid of them?

The first thing that women will reach for in an attempt to cover up broken capillaries is a face concealer. But do you have time to apply it every day and make sure it doesn’t rub off? Over time, it gets boring to cover the same flaws every morning. Imagine that one morning you don’t have to do that anymore.

there are also a number of creams with retinoids, but they cannot reach the capillaries, nor are they strong enough to remove them. They work in the surface layer of the skin where there are no capillaries.

A method of treatment already known to everyone is the laser. Almost every dermatologist will recommend this method. Its advantages are non-invasiveness and precision. The disadvantage is moderate strength. It acts on the layer below the surface of the skin, so the capillaries recede, but after a while they reappear. The treatment itself is not painless, but the pain is alleviated with ice packs. Also, several treatments are needed for the desired effect.

Radiofrequency is also a precise method, a little more invasive, but far more effective and permanent. It is the only one that specifically treats the right layer, i.e. the capillaries, penetrating them with a fine thin needle. It is very well tolerated because the needles used are ten millimeters thin, and the sensation is similar to a mosquito bite. These thin needles reach the capillaries and they instantly disappear. It could therefore be said that it is a slightly more invasive method, but far more effective than the others.

Radiofrequency is a method of highly sophisticated technology that uses low frequencies of radio waves to remove capillaries, but also any other skin growths that represent an aesthetic problem. Like the laser, it is extremely precise, which is very important for the surrounding tissue because it must remain intact. It coagulates (stops bleeding), but with capillaries that are so small and delicate, it actually causes them to disappear, which is the goal.

Mild, quick and safe treatment in expert hands
The radiofrequency treatment itself does not require any special preparation. A local anesthetic may or may not be used, but patients tolerate it very well without it. After the treatment, there may be areas of redness around the capillaries where the procedure was performed, but this disappears in a few hours.

The device used must be licensed and verified, as must the physician performing it. For this reason, such treatment cannot be beneficial. But the best thing you can do for facial capillaries is to consult an experienced doctor at a trusted place.
